Giving back to the Community for 60 years!
The Regalettes, Inc. has a rich history in the community for recognizing the need to give back to those that need help the most. Our organization was founded in 1958 by the late renowned Gertrude Gipson-Penland, former Entertainment Editor of the Los Angeles Sentinel. Thanks to the continued generosity of individuals and corporations that support the Regalettes Inc., we continue to serve minority communities through a number of fundraising events like our college scholarship assistance program now in its 59th year providing minority college student’s financial assistance throughout their college education. “Thanks to the continued generosity of individuals…assistance throughout their college education”: As we move forward this year we are expanding our college assistance program and launching additional sustainable programs relating to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics),job preparation, mentoring workshops, professional and leadership development and internships. We continue to support the community through our toy drive and make special Thanksgiving baskets for families in need.
The Regalettes are a sisterhood organization that continues to serve as volunteers to support many community outreach projects and organizations that understand the value of empowering our communities through dedicated service.
