The Regalettes were devastated at the news of the untimely passing of Michelle Avan.  She was a trailblazer, a community leader and a high level executive in the banking industry who supported women and people of color throughout her career.  We had the priviledge of honoring her at our 60th Annual Gala with our President's Award.  We've also provided scholarship support for her lovely daughter, Nyah.  We can't imagine the grief that all who knew her are feeling, but we hope that her spirit of love, generosity and upliftment resides in all who knew and loved her.  Michelle Avan embodied all that we hold dear for ourselves and our community.  Rest in power, Michelle.
